Del Schmidt

Lutherville
2333 W. Joppa Road, Lutherville, MD 21093

Del Schmidt is a fourth-generation real estate innovator with the approachable qualities you’d want in a best friend. Affable, patient, and thoughtful, he believes the most rewarding part of his work is guiding a client through one of life’s major decisions — finding a home. Del’s a relationship builder, a risk taker, and a remarkable marketing expert, wrapped into one.

Since 2007, Del has been a perennial top producer reaching five million in annual sales at Chase Fitzgerald and Co., Inc., his family’s company founded in 1936. And in 2017, after a decade in real estate, Del recognized his entrepreneurial spirit and ironed out an idea with his mother and brother that would expand their existing family-business model. They merged with another deep-rooted, multi-generational local real estate firm to form what is now called O’Conor, Mooney & Fitzgerald Realtors. Del now holds the role of Vice President.

Del accredits his vast network of clients and vendors to his exemplary client-first service, but he also claims his relationship building started way before real estate. Prior to his current role, Del got a feel for hospitality in the food industry. He held several positions at Classic Catering People, and then became the first General Manager of Miss Shirley’s in Roland Park. In his experience, he managed on-site food providers for major events and galas at the Glasz Café, Penn Station Baltimore, and B&O Railroad Museum.

Del is personally and professionally connected in his community with involvement that includes both leadership and volunteer roles.
